National Youth Day celebrated in NZCC with a reminder of what Swami Vivekananda preached.

12th January is celebrated as National Youth Day, in the memory of eloquent person Swami Vivekananda who was born on the same day. Swami Vivekananda carried the crucial and salient task of spreading the Vedanta philosophy to the west and reviving Hinduism. “Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man”, he quoted. And to underpin that, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce had conducted a Personality Development Workshop in the College premises.

With the changing times, the core of requirements for getting a job is changing drastically. A prospective candidate should possess more than just a fat file of qualification to gallop in the respective field. And to emphasis the same, Vividh Pavaskar, an Assistant Professor of English from Mallika Arjun College had come from Canacona Goa. A maverick, exuberant and aplomb personality, who spoke on the need of building necessary skills in a student.

With some witty jokes and conversations, he started out and halted right when he took the students to the turret of his journey. He is an eminent personality, working in the field of teaching students by guiding them and inculcating personality development which is of immense importance for their career. He also briefly guided the students on the essence of a leader and how to be one. Wading through many techniques, he discussed about embodying the skills of successful people.

The NSS Unit of the college was present for the whole workshop. Mr.Vividh Pavaskar not only talked about the topic, but also seized the opportunity to make the students participate in a few games. He sincerely thanked Mr.Rajesh Amonkar, the Principal of Narayan Zantye College and Mr.Rajendra Kumbharjuvenkar, the NSS Unit head. The program was started with hanging the garland to the portray of Goddess Saraswati ensued by the Introduction of main speaker Vividh Pavaskar by Mr.Kumbharjuvenkar.
